Lives in Leadership Season 2

Season 2 of Lives in Leadership is underway. We have already released Episode 1, featuring former Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chief of the Defence Force (SEAC), WOFF Ken Robertson OAM, and Episode 2, featuring Dr TX Hammes.

Over the coming months, host Dr Lucas Marie will be speaking with a diverse range of military leaders and experts, including Dr Darren Lim from the Australian National University and co-host of the Australia in the World podcast; New Zealand’s Chief of Army, MAJGEN Rose King; Chief of Air Force, AIRMSHL Stephen Chappell; and more.

The Forge Audiobooks

The Forge has released three new audiobooks in September, with more on the way. We have also redesigned the Audiobooks page, making it easier to see information about each article at a glance and bringing all our audiobooks together on a single page.

If you prefer to listen rather than read, or want to catch up on professional reading while travelling, exercising or away from your desk, the Audiobooks page is a good place to start.

Book Reviews on the Home Page

We have made it easier to discover the Book Reviews section of The Forge, with the four most recent reviews now featured on our home page.

We are also developing a series of guides for prospective Forge authors, including guidance on writing and submitting book reviews. We expect to begin publishing these in the new year, if not sooner.

If you have read something recently that you think would be valuable to your colleagues, consider writing a review and sending it to The Forge for publication. A good book review does more than recommend a book: it can introduce an idea, challenge an argument and help others decide where to invest their professional reading time.

A New Way to Publicise

The previous version of The Forge included a carousel that we used to promote events and draw attention to useful resources. We now have a similar capability available on the current site.
