Professor Greg Barton is a scholar of Indonesia Islam, Muslim society, terrorism and countering violent extremism, with more 30 years of experience researching Islam and social movements in Indonesia and broader Southeast Asia. Since 2016 Prof Barton has been leading the Home Affairs’ Southeast Asian Network of Civil Society Organisations (SEAN-CSO) working together against extremism.
