Since joining the Canadian Forces as a lay military chaplain in July 1986, Padre Pichette has held appointments as Commandant of the Canadian Forces Chaplain School and Centre and Canadian Army Command Chaplain, retiring in 2015. He holds a Masters in Ethics and a PhD in Military Ethics from Saint Paul University.
