Wing Commander

Wing Commander Jason Keir joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 1991 as a Technologist Apprentice, later commissioning as an officer in 2001. With degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, he has held key roles in avionics maintenance, operational capability development, logistics policy, and strategic capability governance. His career includes deployments to Afghanistan and leadership in major capital acquisition projects, as well as contributions to international defense research collaborations. In 2023, he completed the Australian Command and Staff Course, earning a Master of Military & Defence Studies, and now serves as Executive Officer for J8 – Modernisation, Assessment and Assurance at Headquarters Joint Operations Command.
