Cary Scott-Kemmis

Mr Cary Scott-Kemmis has almost two decades of experience across multiple Commonwealth portfolios. In 2023, he was selected to attend the Defence and Strategic Studies Course (DSSC) at the Australian War College—an appointment reserved for leaders assessed as having the potential to influence defence and national security policy both domestically and at the international level. During the course, Cary focused on strategic risk, Indo‑Pacific security dynamics, and whole‑of‑government approaches to complex crises. Cary graduated from DSSC with a Master of National Security and Strategy from Deakin University. While attending the DSSC, he received the Geddes Gavel Award for academic achievement.
