Commodore Leavy is currently the Commandant of the Australian Defence Force Academy. He is a Principal Warfare Officer who undertook his PWO course in 1993. He has commanded HMAS Stuart and HMAS Sydney and spent three years as Commodore Warfare at Fleet Headquarters.
